An introduction
Welcome to The 12th Beer!
My name is Daniel, but you can call me Dan - or whatever you want, really. The prettier one in the photo at the bottom is my amazing fiancée, Jenna. She’s the reason this blog, my Facebook/Instagram review pages, and my profound love of beer even exists. Before she tricked me into falling in love with juicy IPA’s I only drank beer socially, typically never straying too far from the tame domestics that plague most of the Southern United States. Lucky for me, she came into my life and introduced me to the complexities and nuance of good beer. Unlucky for her, I annoy her with tasting notes and variations of different hops and the almighty mouth feel.
I’m no expert on beer tastings and certainly not on brewing techniques or processes, but I am unwaveringly passionate about the beer industry, culture, and social impacts that beer has on almost everyone.
Why a blog?
Simply put - its a space for me to express myself and to showcase some of the great beers and breweries in my area and in our travels. Both Jenna and myself will author posts on beer, culture and travel and we hope to inspire more folks to take a interest in the value of beer!
Our community
We hope to build a strong community of folks that love and live for beer and the never ending exploration for the next best sip! We strongly encourage both interaction and a curiosity that can never be satisfied.
What to expect
Our goal is have regular content across all of our platforms (Facebook/Instagram/Substack) throughout the week. We want our blogs to be the best they can be, so you can expect them to be published at least once per month - twice if we’re all so lucky! Stay tuned for new and evolving content!
